Thursday Evenings:
August 6th, 13th, 20th & 27th
Summer Dance Classes will run the month of August (4 weeks).
Then starting a fall session on Thursday’s in September for (10 weeks).
Location: New Barrington Recreation Centre (Sherose Island).
4:15-4:45pm ages 3-5 (Intro to Dance) 30mins.
4:45-5:15pm ages 3-5 (Intro to Dance) 30mins.
5:15-6:15pm ages 6+ (Acrobatics, Hip-Hop) 60mins.
6:15-7:15pm ages 6+ (Ballet, Contemporary, Lyrical) 60mins.
Dance Class Descriptions:
Intro to Dance:
This introductory class is perfect for dancers ages 3-5.5 who wish to learn and explore the following Dance Styles: Acro, Ballet, Contemporary, Jazz, Lyrical and Hip-Hop. Experiencing different combos and exercises each week, providing a fun and engaging class with the tiny dancers.
Acrobatics & Hip-Hop:
This class teaches the basics and helps refine Acrobatic skills, drills and core strengthening. We also focus on Hip-Hop choreography, steps and combos throughout the term. New choreography and combos are taught to grow and refine skills.
Ballet, Contemporary & Lyrical:
This class focuses on Ballet foundation, ballet barre, skills, weight transfer and technique strengthening. The dancers will learn/execute turns, leaps and jump training at this level. We also focus on Contemporary & Lyrical choreography, improv and combos throughout the term.
Allowing their creative process to grow at their own speed and providing safe opportunities to master and present their craft along the way.
Teaching various dance exercises and creating unique choreography weekly for all the students to practice and enjoy! DGD has students of various ages and dance levels from: Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced to Pre-Professional Classes & Adult.
